This roofing project aims to enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of the existing roof while ensuring optimal insulation and protection against the elements.
Scope of Work:
Seal Existing Multiwall Sheeting:
Begin by sealing any areas of the existing multiwall sheeting that require attention, ensuring watertight integrity.
Installation of New Galvanized Lip Channel:
Supply and install a new 76X50X20X2mm galvanized lip channel, securely fastening it to the existing rafters. This structural enhancement will provide additional support and stability.
Installation of Coroplus Aluzink Sheeting:
Over the existing roof, we will install 0.47mm Coroplus Aluzink (White) sheeting. This not only utilizes the insulation properties of the existing sheeting but also adds an extra layer of protection.
Flashing Installation:
New Aluzink (White) flashing will be installed around the newly added sheeting, ensuring a seamless transition and enhanced waterproofing.
Profile Matching and Finishing Touches:
The sea-facing side of the sheeting will be carefully marked and cut to match the existing roof profile. Edges will be smoothed for a refined finish.
Edge Treatment:
We will apply Cold Galv spray to the cut edges for corrosion protection and touch up with Enamel spray (White) to ensure a neat, cohesive appearance.
Cavity Enclosure and Bird Proofing:
Finally, 12mm MFoam (PVC Foam) strips will be installed to enclose the cavity between the new and existing roof sheets. This will provide a clean finish while also serving as effective bird proofing.
